I bought this monitor at Fry's Electronics for $ 449.00 as a replacement for my 22 "CRT NEC, which is 10 years.
Do not really think about things and as a screen resolution of the PC after I monitor at home.
The manual says 1024×768 is the highest preference screen size .. but guess what? I'm running the monitor at 1680×1200 and it works great! What a pleasant surprise! For a PC monitor This screen is awesome! Web pages are enormous, YouTube is like watching TV. I am very, very happy with this monitor (it was 4 days) and it works great, if next month I want to buy a new computer for my music studio. PS: If you have never used a computer that runs on a screen this size you must see to believe! I do a lot of computer programming, websites, graphic design and a 42-screen technology is a dream!
